PHPD [Port Harcourt Police Department] foils N137 Million Robbery Attempt
The police, on Wednesday evening, foiled an attempt by some hoodlums to rob a bank in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
This happened barely 24 hours after suspected robbers in military camouflage killed a mother and her 14-month-old daughter and stole millions of naira from a bank at Festac Town in Lagos State.
It was learnt that N137,212,000, allegedly stolen by the hoodlums, was recovered in the Port Harcourt robbery, following a shootout between the police and the suspected robbers.
The spokesman said the robbers attacked the bank at the Trans-Amadi Industrial Area at 5pm.
