Falana calls for probe of past CBN govs

Senior lawyer, Femi Falana, has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the Deposit Money Banks over loans allegedly granted them by former governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Speaking at a dinner organised by the executives of the Senior Staff Club of the University of Ibadan in honour of members recently appointed by the federal government, the lawyer said the loans were given between 2006 and 2011. Falano who noted that the EFCC had not yet attended to his written request, said he will apply for an order of Mandamus to compel the commission to investigate and prosecute the Deposit Money Banks over loans allegedly granted them by former CBN governors.
