But Photographer Marc Wilson knows that this isn’t always the case. After finding that remains from historic wars were still intact all over Europe, Marc set out to take pictures of these historical artifacts… and found something much darker in the process.

Focusing mainly on former military fortifications, Wilson sought to capture the enduring legacy of war.
