Suspected kidnapper caught attempting to abduct two children.

 – The suspect who is believed to be in his mid 20s was apprehended in Otukpo area of the state by vigilantes.. Daily Post A suspected kidnapper in Benue state on Wednesday, October 12 was nabbed while trying to abduct two children, Daily Post reports. The suspect, who is believed to be in his mid 20s was apprehended in Otukpo area of the state at about 8:30 a.m by vigilantes. Although, he escaped from vigilantes’ custody upon his initial arrest, he was later chased and was recaptured.




The man, whose name could not be ascertained as at press time, attempted to abduct two school children. Moses Yamu, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP, said the command has not got any news of that nature today.

 Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency on kidnapping in the country. Daily Post reports that the House urged the federal government to organize a security conference that will include all the security agencies, all GSM service providers and relevant standing committees of the National Assembly on these issues.
