There's been a lot of drama and complaints on social media since Tuesday when popular radio presenter, Murphy Ijemba a.ka. 'Radio Paparazzi' and his co-host, Sean Amadi didn't host the regular drive time show called 'Popular Side'.
Murphy Ijemba who has a cult followig on-air particularly because of his witty and energetic style of presentation has since been throwing subtle subliminals against the Larry Izamoje led Brila FM on social media and his followers aren't happy with his absence on air.
Investigations however reveal that Murphy Ijemba wasn't sacked and he hasn't officially resigned, rather his co-host, Sean Amadi was re-deployed from the evening belt to the morning shift a move that didn't go down well with him and Murphy.
Sources tell Red-Eye Blog that on seeing the memo containing the re-deployment, Murphy and Sean angrily walked out of the office and since not resumed duty.
Another source said, 'Murphy was not redeployed from the evening belt. The redeployments notice stated that Murphy retains the Mon-Friday belt, while Dogo Francis, a pioneer member of our Popular Side Team handles the Saturday and Sunday evening belts when Murphy is off-duty. But since then, Sean and Murphy have not resumed duty since postings were announced. They were not sacked and the station has not received a resignation letter from any or each of them'.
